Display Color Selector Program

This display color selector program is a useful little programming tool. It is a handy item for HTML (web) page construction were it can help to display colors with all the 16,777,216 possible differing color combinations. The program is also beneficial for other types of color experimentation. It excels when used with computer monitors and imaging.

This program permits quick and easy color changes to the computer's display. When using the color mode it is possible to show the more than sixteen million (256x256x256) colors simply by adjusting the three primary color sliders. In the grayscale mode when the color sliders are locked together, displaying of 256 shades of grays are easy to do. The program works equally well with CRT or LCD type standard computer monitors connected to a computer. The individual sliders on the program's user interface control the computer's display driver card's RAMDAC (Random Access Memory Digital to Analog Converter) values. These RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) numbers control each color's intensity. LCD monitors works quite similarly. The program displays RGB hexadecimal, and decimal color numbers. The displayed values are useful for HTML and for other graphics intensive programming work.
